ive been catching up with the walking dead show and all i can think is wow daryl is hot

It kind of bothers me that Daryl is the best character in the TV show and that character doesn’t even exist in the comic… I have a love/hate relationship with the entire television series.

at first i was wierded out and mildly upset cuz like. if youre going to adapt a series then why not…keep the story, but at the same time you could look at it another way and see an adaptation as a chance to keep the same basic framework and try other things that might not have worked in the other

BUT SAME KINDA? i really wish daryl had actually been in the comic (i also wish tony moore did more than just the covers BUT ALAS)

I try to keep that in mind… that the TV series is a “what if” scenario where things are basically the same but certain key events are different enough to send them off in a different direction.  IT STILL DOES NOT MAKE ME ANY LESS PERTURBED WHEN CHARACTERS WHO SHOULD BE DEAD ARE STILL ALIVE AND VICE VERSA.  But yeah… I keep reminding myself that the show is different from the comics and that’s all there is to it. 

Daryl really is a good character, and, not sure where you are in the series right now, but he has a really good character arc as well.  I almost keep expecting to see him appropriated for the comics.
